Sinopsis:
12-year-old Freddie is bullied at school. He lives alone with his hard-working policeman father and is constantly beaten in the card game he plays every day with his neighbour, Ms Andersen. When Freddie sees that a cute dog is brutally abused by his owner, he kidnaps the dog. This is soon discovered, of course, but Freddie convinces his father to let him keep it. But the owner is not too keen of getting rid of his mongrel, so poor Freddie gets into deep trouble. But luckily he discovers that his beloved dog can run very, very quickly.
Twelve-year old Freddie is being mobbed by the cool guys in his class. His mother died a couple of years ago and his father is a policeman, who doesn’t come home very often. One day Freddie sees Storm, the dog, on his way home, who can run incredibly fast. He follows it and comes to realize that its owner is abusing it. Freddie has taken the dog to his heart, and although his father initially disapproves of pets, he lets himself be talked into allowing Freddie to buy the dog. In order to get enough money, Freddie enters Storm for a dog race.
